Some scholarships are unusual, some are weird and wacky, and others are just strange but they all have something in common, they provide free money for college and are often easy to get.When it comes to funding a college education, easy scholarships are the best possible way that you can earn money for school. Simply put, easy scholarships are ones that you get for just being yourself. They can be split up into 3 different categories: contests, personal characteristics, and talents or skills.
Contests. Some of these can be unusual and even strange or downright weird. But it is these unique and wacky scholarships from contests that are sometimes the easiest and definitely the most fun to apply for. The easy scholarships that we are talking about here include the typical essay ones such as personal narratives, fictional stories, poetry, or a preselected topic to write about. But there are also some odd and unusual contests that can earn you some cash for school such as invention competitions, video making, and duct tape creativity.
Personal Characteristics. It does not get any more simple than this. You can get scholarships for just having a certain trait and applying for the award. There is money for college for students who are left handed, tall or short, have red hair, a twin, a triplet, certain last names, nationality, family background, and where you are from. Talk about very easy scholarships!
Talents or Skills. I bet you didn’t know that you can earn some tuition money based on your interests and hobbies. You absolutely can. In addition to traditional athletic scholarships for soccer, baseball, football, basketball, hockey, track and field, cross country running, swimming, volleyball, softball, and tennis that we all hear about, there are scholarships available as well for bowling and golf caddies. Knitting and marble shooting are just a couple of the skills that can earn you some easy school money.
